On March 28, the colorful land—'Enriching the Countryside with Culture and Beautifying Taoyuan with Art' cultural and artistic event themed on enhancing the countryside officially kicked off at Shannan Tou Cultural and Art Village in Taoyuan Village, Yangshan Town, within the resort area. This event deeply implements the spirit of the 'Work Plan for Enriching the Countryside with Culture and Art (2025–2027)' issued by seven central departments. With 'culture' as the soul, 'art' as the medium, and 'countryside' as the scene, it explores characteristic paths for empowering rural revitalization through diverse artistic expressions and immersive cultural experiences.
At the event site, a signing ceremony was held for the Party-building co-construction between Taoyuan Village in Yangshan Town and Jiangnan Film and Television Arts Vocational College. Our school's Deputy Party Secretary and Executive Dean Lu Liming signed a school-local Party-building co-construction agreement with Zhang Gu, Party Branch Secretary of Taoyuan Village. The signing was jointly witnessed by Chen Xin, Director of the Rural Collective Economy and Social Affairs Division of Wuxi Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau; Zhang Yuefu, Deputy Party Secretary of Yangshan Town; Yang Yu, Organizational Committee Member of Yangshan Town Party Committee; and Meng Xiangfeng, Honorary Village Head of Taoyuan Village and Deputy Director of the Decision-making Consulting Research Center at Wuxi Municipal Party School.
This is the collaboration between universities and local communities, the integration of academia and practice, and the mutual effort between cultivating talents in culture and arts and deeply serving rural areas. Jiangying and Taoyuan Town, on both the university and local sides, will take this signing as a new starting point to build platforms, share resources, jointly establish practice bases, spread red culture, share educational achievements, and promote rural services, allowing the power of youth to take root, grow, blossom, and bear fruit on the fertile land of the countryside.
